Valladolid – Spain Wine shop Vinos&Viandas
The project by Zooco for this wine shop at Valladolid, in Spain, starts from the juxtaposition of several circumferences, lengthwise and sideways, which create a space where various functions – counter, tables and exhibition area – come into view while you are crossing this space. This series of curves engenders some arches which, if they are seen linearly, appear like some vaults. This system evokes the ancient vaulted wine-cellars. Once conceived the system, Zooco Estudio divided the partitions using 15 cm shelves and in this way the display units are obtained. The space is perceived as a series of wooden ribs characterised by curved shapes. For this project, three types of different materials were used: wood for the system of ribs, stone for flooring and mirrors to make rooms be wider.
